NEW PROVINCIAL OF THE PROVINCE OF ST. ALBERT THE GREAT, USA

On 5 June 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, Br. Louis Stephen Morrone, OP was elected Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Albert the Great.

Being called by all who know him as “Louie”, he is 66 years old, born on 1 April 1957 in Pueblo, Colorado, USA. Prior to entering Novitiate in 1986, Br. Louie worked for several years as a Registered Nurse, having graduated from the university with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Former Novice Master and later Prior in St. Dominic Priory in Denver, he had also served the brothers as Prior of St. Pius V Priory in Chicago, Illinois. He has also served as Socius and Vicar Provincial for his Province.

Brother Louis has been a Religious Assistant for the St. Dominic Laity Chapter in Denver, as well as Vicar for the Blessed Sacrament Monastery in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
